Lover Of Islam

Allama Ehsan Elahi Zaheer:

Ehsan Elahi Zaheer (March 31, 1945 - March 30, 1987) was a Pakistani scholar and author,most notably known for his refutations against other Muslim sects.He was born on Thursday in the city of Sialkot Pakistan to a prominent and wealthy Punjabi industrialist family with the history involvement with the Ahl-E-Hadith.

Education:

He studied at Jamia Islamiyyah Gujranwala and at Jamia Salafiyyah in Faisalabad before  leaving to study abroad at the prestigious Islamic University of Madinah in Saudia Arabia where he studied and got first position all over the world with 93.5% marks in Madinah University.After graduating from the department of Sharia he returned to his country and pursued further education and received his Master in Arabic,Islamic Studies,Urdu and Persian

During his final year of study at Madinah University Bin Baaz asked him to deliver lectures,a very rare opportunity amongst attending students.During this time  his book "Al-Qadiyaniyah" was also be printed in  Madinah.Allama Ehsan Elahi Zaheer asked the Sheikh Bin Baaz who was at that time the chancellor of Madinah University "What if i fail to get my degree?" to which Sheikh Bin Baaz replied "I will close the University".

Death:

His death threat were finally carried out on March 23, 1987,while giving a speech on the Biography  of the Muhammad (S.A.W) a bomb which had been planted on the stage exploded eventually killing Allama Zaheer along with 18 attendees; 114 were seriously injured.Allama Zaheer initially survived the blast and after initial treatment at the central hospital of Lahore,he was transferred for further medical in Saudi Arabia.

He died on 30 March 1087 after spending 22 hours in a Riyadh Hospital.Sheikh Bin Baaz whilst crying,led his funeral prayer in Riyadh.It was considered the most historical funerals ever prayed in Riyadh.The Funeral attendance was estimated over 3 million people,after which his body was taken to Jannat-Ul-Baqi(Madinah) graveyard.His body was buried next to the grave of Malik Ibn Anas.
